John Drebinger Bio

For more than 19 years, John W. Drebinger, Jr. C.Ht. CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) has been helping people take personal responsibility for their own safety. He has taught thousands how to watch out for themselves and others.  Major corporations recognize him as an expert who has given their people the skills to effectively convey a message in a way that gets results.

His story of how he went from being a fan of our nation’s space program to actually sitting on board three of our space shuttles has inspired thousands to use the same success techniques to help others work safely.

During his extensive travels serving many major corporations, John has interviewed CEO’s, company presidents, safety professionals, and employees to elicit the keys to their success in communication and safety. Recognized as an expert by the safety industry, John has been published in the following magazine publications: Compliance, Professional Safety, Industrial Safety and Hygiene News, and The Leader (OSHA’s VPPPA magazine).

Dedicated to constant improvement, he is a member of the National Speakers Association and has achieved their highest earned designation, CSP (Certified Speaking Professional). He is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and a talented magician. John has performed at and is a member of the prestigious Hollywood Magic Castle. His book, Mastering Safety Communication, is loaded with communication tools and techniques to enhance safety programs and is recognized by members of the safety industry as an outstanding training resource. Its popularity has resulted in selling over 75,000 copies. His CD’s have introduced the safety industry to training and communication techniques that transform behavior.

John serves his local community as a past President of the Galt Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He has also previously served as president of his church council, local PTA, and the Sacramento Chapter of the National Speakers Association. John now serves as board president for the “Sending Place”, an organization that provides opportunities to train people to serve on missions overseas.  Involved in Scouting for over 47 years and an Eagle Scout, John is currently a Scoutmaster for a troop attending the 2010 Boy Scout Jamboree in Fort AP Hill, Virginia.

All of this service has taught him much in the field of communication dealing with diverse groups of people with many different career and educational backgrounds.
