CELEBRATING 24 YEARS OF EFFECTIVE, FUN and RESULT-GETTING SAFETY PRESENTATIONS

For the past 24 years as a safety speaker, not only have I been giving fun, effective, memorable safety presentations, I have been sharing with the safety community the, “how to’s” of result-getting safety speaking. It was Joe Kaplan of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Safety Council who gave me my first big break. Joe had seen and heard how effective I was and asked me to develop a course for his chapter on how to make safety fun and interesting. Nothing existed like it at the time, even though you would never guess that judging by claims made on some other web sites out there. Well, Joe liked it, his clients loved it, and from there my first book was created. Also, it took me to a national audience instead of just being a regional speaker. For those of you who have read my latest book, “Would You Watch Out For My Safety?”™ the character Joe in the book is a tribute to Joe Kaplan.

I have had a great time giving dynamic life-changing presentations over those years and I look forward to many more. I especially appreciate those of you who have shared with me in person or by email how my techniques have made a difference in your effectiveness. In order to keep sharing more and more of my techniques to a larger audience, I have created some special instructional videos for your safety professionals and safety team members to use. This week, we have put three online. The first ten are from my “Ten Elements of a Successful Safety Meeting.” Each video covers one topic. The first three are; Outcomes, Audience Attention and Techniques Taught. In the following weeks, we will be posting many more. Please check them out and feel free to share them with your team.
