Safety – Mentors and Role Models by Safety Speaker John Drebinger

Posted by John Drebinger |

Ninety-two years ago today the greatest man I ever knew was born. My Dad, Dr. John W. Drebinger, was the best father I could have ever asked God for. Much of what you see in my presentations today is the result of the advice and support he and my mother gave me over all the years we spent together. I especially treasure the many talks my dad and I had driving to and from the beach where we surfed every weekend.

One speaking tip he gave me was that if you are only speaking on 10% of what you know, you will have a much better ability to customize, and fit your presentation to your audience. Also, you will never find yourself worrying about your presentation because you know your subject.

Thanks Dad for all you did for me and for all you have helped me do for others.
