New Safety Book Goes To Press – Safety Speaker John Drebinger

Always Ask For Help When You Need It!
Today is an exciting day at our office. We have sent the final copy and edits to our printer for my new book, “Would You Watch Out for My Safety?” I want to thank all the people who helped with the creation of this work. As a safety speaker, I am blessed with many colleagues and friends who are always willing to help.

I bring this up to share with you how much help I have received over the years. The secret is that I was willing to ask. My first boss in the Boy Scouts of America, Frank Orlaski, once told me, “A NO you already have.” His point was that if you don’t ask, you get the same result as someone saying no. The only way you move to yes is to ask.

In addition, we work in a field where people, even competitors, are willing to help because they know it will make a difference in the lives of thousands and more.
