Safety Speaker on the Road
As an international safety speaker, it is a good thing I love to fly. I am in Paris waiting for my next flight through Frankfort to Helsinki for the 21st Nordic Research Safety Conference in Helsinki, Finland. You learn to seek out wifi in any available lounge and off to work you go.
I think one of the things I love about travel is all the interesting people you get to meet. Sure most of them I will never see again but they teach me quite a bit. First, you learn how diverse a world we live in. It is helpful as a safety speaker to be aware of the diversity in today’s workplace, no matter where in the world you are.
Having a sincere interest in other people will allow you to “interview” or be curious about other people, what they do, what they believe, and what is important to them.
